Who we are
Democratize the Internet (DTI) is a nonprofit initiative building alternatives to extractive internet platforms. This site, democratizetheinternet.org, tells you about that work.
Using this site
You're welcome to read, link to, quote, and share anything here, attribution appreciated. Don't abuse the forms (no spam, no automated submissions), don't try to break the site, and don't use it for anything unlawful.
Our platforms have their own terms
TownSquare and any future DTI platforms are separate services with their own terms and policies. This site links out to them, but signing up for our mailing list doesn't create an account anywhere.
No warranties
The site is provided as-is. We work to keep it accurate and available, but we can't promise it will always be either. Parts of what we describe, especially future ideas, are aspirations, not commitments.
Liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, DTI isn't liable for damages arising from your use of this site. Given that the site is words on a page, we expect this clause to stay theoretical.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Utah, USA.
Changes
If we change these terms, we'll update the date at the top. If we ever change them in a way that matters, we'll say so plainly.
